Tonight we are going shopping for the Christmas Bureau family that The Scoop Network has sponsored. The Target Store in Wesley Chapel has graciously allowed us to do our shopping there and bring our Scoop Network video cameras. Through the wonderful support of our readers, this community will brighten the Christmas of a family not so fortunate. Things such as this is one of the benefits I receive as publisher of the Monroe Scoop. Everyone loves to get that warm fuzzy feeling.

Welcome to my site. I am the publisher/editor of what we call The Scoop Network.

Very simply, The Scoop Network is comprised of 3 websites as of this writing.

The Monroe Scoop

The Ballantyne Scoop

The Indian Trail Scoop

The Monroe Scoop was launched in December of 2008 almost as an experiment and has grown beyond my expectations for the year. I’m grateful to the readers who have helped to make this site successful by spreading the word and contributing stories and ideas.

Any online venture needs reader support and time. Time is a crucial factor to allow your site to age with the search engines such as Google. Time is crucial to your readers. They must find you initially and then you must have quality to encourage them to return to your site over and over.

Along with time, a web publisher needs the support of community. The best advertising and marketing is word of mouth. The Monroe Scoop has received plenty of that and if you have helped spread the word, I thank you.

We have big plans for our network in 2010. I encourage our readers to contribute your local news and events. I have made it very easy by placing Submit News forms on each site. We post almost all of your local news and events. If your submission does not make it as a feature article on the site, I will usually add it to our community calendar. The Community Calendar covers all of Union County & South Charlotte. A lot of people are referring to the calendar so get your event listed.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

You can e-mail me at steve@monroescoop.com
